of curriculum development in adult and non-formal education
Various scholars have attempted to
defined the term curriculum in diverse views, hence wheelers (1962) in gbamaja
(2002) defined curriculum as the planned experience offer to the learners under
the guidance of the schools in the view that curriculum embrace purposeful
experience-provided and directed by educational institution to achieve
predetermined goals. While okafor (1984) defined curriculum as all the learning
experience provided to the students under the direction of the school.
In spite all the attempts are the
definitions of curriculum as shown above, it could be noted that the various
definition fall within particular schools of thought which include the
tradition paternalist, essentially and the discipline, doctrine advocates the
progressive and the functionalist.
